Toquilla Palm for perfect hats
Toquilla palm comes from the herbaceous plant “Carludovica palmata”, from 1.5 to 2.5 m high and without a visible stem. It has simple, grouped leaves that form a rosette, in the form of a fan.
Cultivated from Central America to Bolivia especially in Ecuador, the soft, flexible and durable fibers are woven, with which hats and other articles are woven.
This is the reason why Panama hats, but which are actually made mainly in Ecuador, have great acceptance and are considered the finest hats in the world, because the toquilla palm, its main raw material is actually a leaf, resulting in natural hats, soft, flexible and durable.
